port forwarding

does anyone know what port i need to open on the gt-701 so that i can use bittorrent to download mp3? it says im behind a firewall, but the firewall is set to basic. And basic has all the ports open. Any info will help

what torrent client are you using? go into its properties or setup and try to find what the port it is using.

some can use ports like 6888 6889 etc.. or some can use 12700-99999. or whatever.. so try to identify it. once done, type in your ip in the browser. for example if your with linksys.. its usually 192.168.1.1 .. etc..

do you know your ip though?

yes i know the modem very well for the most part. 192.168.0.1...but i wasnt shure of the port.
