Port doesn't open

Hi

Today my internet plug magically unscrewed itself from the cable modem and when I plugged it back in I noticed uTorrent (I am downloading non-copyrighted material) had a red exclamation mark and when I checked the port tester I found that it said the port wasn't open.

I made sure it was the same port and it was. I posted on the uTorrent forums and they told me to set up a static IP. I've done that now and it still doesn't work (Yes I'm forwarding to the correct IP).

What is happening??

I'm using a WRT54G on a network with 2 computers on it.

reset the router, OR change the port.

I tried using 5 different ports and none of them work.

Linksys.

The port forwarding was working fine before the internet plug came out.

Go to 192.168.1.1

Then for a pass they should both be admin (unless someone changed it)

Then check the port forwarding settings.

Uhm yeah... I'm not asking how to open it I'm asking how come it doesn't open..

Well, when you unplugged it it may have changed your IP on your network changing where the port was opened to.

I take it you want the port to open. Shut down both pc's and reset the router then restart.

Okay I tried resetting the router but it still doesn't open.

I've made sure it's forwarding the right port # to the right Ip address.
