Pop-up at welcome screen!

Hey,

I have no idea what the first blue screen with box is. Never heard or seen of that before.

The second is your System Configuration Utility, this usually opens when there is a setting that isnt correct. This is usually used as a startup disgnosise for may pc technicans.

My advise would be to have a look at this article and try a few things, at least ensure your startup is set to normal.

You may wish to try and run a windows check disk

Windows 2000/XP. Start --> Run. Type chkdsk /r for full scan.

I have never used before, so you may want to try find some more info on it before running.

or you could just run a repair windows xp, its the same as clean instal, but you files should be retained. (but i would backup just incase). It just replaces all you system and windows files.

Should you not know how to run a windows repair let me know and i will let you know.
 
hehe, i no. have you installed a tweaking program, this is a box that administrators use for workstations, at my school this box says stuff about school rights etc.

and what ever is in the box is what you have typed in

try system restore or even uninstallation of any recent programs that will change the registry or tweak programs.
