Plz Help!!!!!!!!!

ok about a week or 2 ago my power went out and my surge protector failed and my comp got shocked and it deleted a file on my comp so i had to install windows back on it and when i am all done with that my sound dont work and i dont know what to do to get it to work

my comp is a HP media center PC m7060n


If u could help me in any way i would greatly appreciate it

it might have shorted out ur sound card. take it out and try it in a different pc and see if that works

go to the sound cards manufacture website and download the latest drivers for it

Plus, I seriously don't think a shock would JUST cause a computer to delete a file...
