"Please Wait" problem

Hey guys, hope you can help me with this problem as it is very frustrating. When I start up my computer, it'll be fine until it gets to "Please Wait". After that it just stays at the "Please Wait" screen and won't let me choose which account I want to log in as.

There are no problems with the startup if I start it in Safe Mode and Safe Mode with Networking.
I've already ran the System File Checker twice.
And I've read somewhere before that the fingerprint scanner might cause this so I went and disabled that.

However, these were all just temporary fixes. So what I did was disable all non-Microsoft services and everything under the Startup tab. After that, my computer started up normally with no problems. But I'd like to know whether there's an easier fix to this problem than manually going through all my programs to find the culprit of this problem.

When troubleshooting computers, most the time your are left to diagnosing the issue. You say it starts up fine when things get disabled. So you know its a program or service starting at bootup. You will need to start the programs one by one until you find out which one is causing it to stall. Was there any windows updates installed recently that may have caused this?

It automatically installed 5 updates I believe. But I already used a restore point to a time before those updates were installed but the problem still happens.

I guess the only thing to do is check each service one by one... *sigh*
