ive got a bt voyager 2100 wireless adsl router, and a linksys wireless-g usb network adapter, a the moment im 1.0 mbps
please help

im trying to play battlefield 2 but the internet keeps disconnecting its f**King annoying

wireless is known to disconnect... It may be due to interference (wireless phones blutoothe etc..) it could be due to heat (is it on the carpet?)
If none of the above, try updating the firmaware of the router, and try it then.
If no joy, if possible try moving the router to a DIRECT line of sight. Try to get a branded (same brand) wireless ethernet card.
If all else fails get a ethernet cable, as it will never disconnect randomly.
