I have a netgear wireless router connected with my SBC modem (speedstream 5100) but the problem is that when i connect therouter into the modem, my internet stop working.

I did everything on the set up on the netgear page, but still the net doesnt work.

Cananyone tell me whatelse i can do to make it work?

you need to login to the router //192.168.2.1 or //192.168.1.1 and setup you pppoe (assumption) connection. so just copy and paste those //IP into your browser and see if something comes up. it should be the router setup pages. Is the router connecting to the internet?

Also the way you setup you PC for the modem to pc connection is different when you aetup just the router. The ip address in the tcp/ip doesnt need to be filled in. leave it blank as the router takes care of it.
