Please help - No sound!

OK, my grandfather called me this morning, and told me his computer (Windows XP) wasn't playing any sound, and the speaker logo that is used to adjust the volume wasn't visible in the task bar.

So, I went down there to have a look, and right enough, the logo isn't there, no sound is being played, and it is saying "No Audio Device".

I've checked the hardware and it is all enabled, so what is wrong!?

I'm going back down tomorrow, so if I get a solution I'll try to fix it again then.

Look under sound, video, and game controllers section of the device manager for a sound driver. If there isn't one listed or yellow or red icons on it then something wrong with the driver.
 
Luckily when I went over he had the disks ready, so I installed all the audio drivers again and it is working.
