Please help - ftp server/webhotel

Hello

Here's the problem: My sister's going around the world diving, and needs somewhere to dump her pictures (usually tons...), whereever she is.

I set up an ftp-server on my own computer, but i need to have the ftp server program open for her to upload... Not very practical if she's in central america somewhere and has to call me up before uploading...

I need an easilly accesible server or web hotel, that does not require any programs installed prior to acces.
Where can I find one such? Preferably for free, but not a must...

Why not simply download some sort of compression program (WINRAR, or use Winzip) and then attach the files via email and email them to herself or to you? Use a free google email account as that offers 2gig + free storage?
 
That is possible, yes. Using gmail already:)
But I often find that type of filesharing a hassle.
Besides, it's often very large amounts of files, and although it is a small program, dowloading and installing stuff susch as winrar is not always an option in internet cafes and the like...

But thanks for the input, i'll keep that option in mind :)
 
Why not buy a cheap flash USB drive and save them onto them (she could when at a computer I mean). They barely cost anything and are very efficient when storing files on the move.
 
I'd say to use Flickr.com and sign up for a Pro account ($24 per year) if you need lots of upload bandwidth. If you don't want to have a specific photo storage solution, you could use something like Box.net.
 
Box.net is excactly the kind of site I was looking for, thank you.
As for flash disks - it's when they need to be emptied and ready for more pictures that the whole upload comes into play.
