Right first time building a computer, its for my Dad. Just a good daily computer really, web browsing, office work, etc.

Here is what I have so far:

Intel Pentium Dual Core G3220 3.00GHz Socket 1150 3MB £43.82

Gigabyte GA-H81M-S2PV Socket 1150 DVI 7.1-Channel Audio Micro ATX Motherboard £39.85

WD 1TB Blue Desktop Drive 3.5" SATA-III 7200RPM 64MB £47.00

Kingston 4GB DDR3 1600MHz HyperX Blu Memory Module CL9 1.7-1.9V £30.12

CIT Shade MicroATX Case Black Interior with 500W PSU £22.49

ASUS DRW-24F1ST Internal DVD±ReWriter 24X £12.50

Xenta DVI-D Dual Link Replacement Cable (Black) 2m £3.89

NewLink Right Angle to Right Angle Locking Serial ATA Data Cable - 90CM £0.99

Total Price £200.66

Already got a decent 21.5" acer monitor so no need for that and I have a copy of windows 7 ultimate to install so no OS required

Any advice more than appreciated

You might want to change your memory to 1.5V as the motherboard support 1.5V.

Gskill Dual Memory Kit (2x2) should do it for you.

The PSU bundled with that case will be junk.

I know it'll be more expensive, but pick up a Corsair CX 430 or a CX 40M for less than £50 and then buy a Fractal Design Core 1000 mATX case and that will be a much better combination.

You want a good quality power supply.

RAM - personally stick with 1 x 4GB, such that you would got spare slot for upgrade

PSU + Case: I suggest you get a better one. Probably CoolerMaster Silent Pro 450W/ Corsair CX430. Both around £35
Case - Fractal Design Core 1000 as spirit mentioned.

By the way, for these budget office desktop, you could consider just buy one from shelf.
Check out dell vostro at dell outlet. You would find machine under £300 with 3 years warranty

The killer of really low budget builds is OS and monitors, as Dell and HP often have a package deal with keyboard, mouse, monitor and PC with OS for cheap. He has it all already except the PC, which is a good thing.
My recommendation:
Fractal Design Core 1000 USB3
Corsair CX430/430M
Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1x4GB 1600MHz (leaves room for upgrade to 8GB in the future, 99% of the performance of 2x2GB)

You also don't need to buy the SATA cable. Your motherboard usually comes with 2-8 of them. It definitely comes with some.
