play game for about thirty mins then connection is lost??

Basically I've been playin games all day (COD2, BF2, AA), and after about thirty mins of playin a game, my internet just stops for a brief two mins, then goes back to normal. Even though it is not that bad, it pisses me off becuase i have to exit out of my current game, Xfire, AIM, and wutever else I got going on.

its just kinda wierd cause it happens like 30 mins almost on the dot....

who is your service provider, if it's verizon then it could be the crappy westell modem they gave you, mine is junk for the second time and i'm currently waiting for a replacement

lol......... no i have a relatively desent Belkin router. I'm thinkin of movin itbut if I do, and move it up to another room, will it still work or is it somehow specified for that phone line?? (BTW. I know this is a nOOb-tastic question)

IP changes every 30min?? start>run>"cmd"/"command">"ipconfig"/"winipcfg"

write the IP number down. then check it 30 min later. see if it changed.

it may be some sort of "time out" setting - take a closer look at the routers configuaration page in the web browser.

BTW your router is using all the proper cables i.e rj-11 and rj-45, a normal telephone cable coming from the wall will not do.

Also you could try updating your router firmware drivers
