Got a good Pentium 4 northwood 2.53 GHZ for sale. Has 512 L2 cache and 533 FSB. Works great, just upgraded to a Celeron-D and looking to get rid of this one.
$12. Will ship anywhere with payment for shipping charges.

I was hoping that the faster clock speed would make it an upgrade. However, it runs about the same. Either way, I am looking to sell/trade one of them. The Celeron is installed, and I am not looking to go through that whole issue again to get the P4 back in (plus I'm out of AS5).

It is indeed a bit of a down grade, but as long as your happy..

Dont know how well you will go selling it on here, might have better luck on ebay?

Then again, someone "might" need it.

i dont like ebay b/c of the fees for selling. If i remember, its like $1 to post, right??
Do they have no pay support??

Um, what do you mean by no pay support? Im pretty sure you gotta use paypal now, if thats what you mean.

If someone wins, they dont pay, you file a dispute, and ebay usually refunds the fees. (Atleast your final value fee)

BUMP START:
I upgraded from a celeron d 2.66ghz to a p4 2.8ghz and noticed absolutely no difference across the board in performance, weather gaming, or multi tasking.

the celeron was fitted with 256 l2 cache. and the p4 with 512 l2 cache.. So I got an extra 256l2 and 140mhz with no notice in speed difference.

This old technology is so outdated and slow anyways any small margin difference in specs doesn't do a thing. Not only that Intel always call there celerons their budget line but all they are is re branded higher end processors with a few less l2. The current E class celerons are actually core 2 due technology rebranded. and so the old celerons were really just p4s with slightly slower clock, or lower cache sizes.
END OF BUMP: :D

After replacing the P4, the Celeron is actually faster. If I can get my hands on a 3.5 floppy bay and cable, Ill reinstall that celeron where i can run the right microcode for teh newer stepping, and Ill be golden. Its not like anyone is going to buy it anyway.
