PCI simple communications controller error

Don't have a clue. Apparently a piece of hardware is installed. Its a Nikon Coolscan for for scanning slides and negatives only. Can anybody give me a clue where to start. i scanned the motherboard cd and installed the software for the hardware and cannot find. checked windows 7 pro 64 bit and nothing.
checked the support center at microsoft.

Thats usually a dial up modem. Look in device manager for anything that may need a driver or troubleshooting.
