hi, I just bought a 42in plasma samsung...I have a bose lifestyle system that I'll be connecting the tv and computer to, but the Bose has to get repaired so for the time being how would I connect my pc with a soundMAX digitial audio driver to my samsung plasma i have tried rca cables, they don't work...there's a pc audio in jack on the back of the tv but its only one port rather than 2 for rca (red white). Im so confused, can someone help me?

Are you sure that's not for a digital output from a newer model sound card? Look at the rear of the tv for AV1, AV2 type RCA plugs for vcr, S-Video inputs there. One single RCA type plug sounds more like it would be used for composite video from a camcorder rather then audio. Otherwise you have to use a 2 into 1 type adapter cord(not good).

I'm trying to get around a similar problem. I have a Digital input on the back of my surround sound, and digital outputs on my computer. The problem is, the digital output on my computer is a sterio jack, it connects to 3 wires, while the intput on the surround sound is like an RCA jack, so it only connects to two wires (I have no idea if this makes sense).
How can i forge a wire to connect the PC to the Surround sound?

The basic solution when faced with two types of plugs like those is to run down to the local Radio SHack or consumer electronics store like Circuit City or CompUSA for the conversion type adapters or adapter cables seeing one type at one end and the other at the opposite. You may have to reduce the 1/4" down to 1/8" mini plug in order to find the right cable meaning one extra item. The top one is 1/8" to phono seen there.
