Pc Overheating!

Hi, My pc is over heating and I use speedFan to check the tempature for my computer. It is way to hot for me to play games without the game skipping! So I have to leave the window open and get my room as cold as possible to get the tempature down! I have no fan to put it up to my computer and cool it down. I was just asking, What should I do to make it stop over heating? It has never done this before at all! It is freezing ass cold in my bedroom! What should I do?:confused:

EDIT: Could it be the dust in my computer that is making it overheat?

What are the exact temps you are talking about? Take a screen shot of the temps and post it if you can.

Is your computer clean inside?

What kind of computer is it?

How many case fans do you have? Are they working?

Might need to do a fan upgrade and maybe add some more.

Question: What do you do when you are cold?
Answer: Put a blanket or more cloths on

That's what dust does...puts a blanket on your hardware. It actually acts like insulation and does not allow heat to be released. I would get a couple can of compressed air and a soft bristle paint brush and clean it all up nice.

Also Those are the heatings after I opened my window. The old ones were both the 2 things that are overheating right now were 90 and 110

If you can post your computer configuration once that would help me to know ur problem properly.

I can suggest that you must try to clean the internal part of the Cpu including the processor.

Sometimes due to accumulation of dust overheating occurs

you can refer to my blog for further technique to tweak your PC....:)

What you mean my system configuration?

I'd get the dust out first :P A lot of dust impedes airflow, conducts the heat and worst of all, it can stop fans spinning, get a can of compressed air and blow it all out.

yes also check your heatsink on your processor, make sure the fan is spinning properly, and like they said get some air in can and get inbetween the fins on the heatsink and the blades on the fan
