PC Crashes during game

Hey,

Since I started playing some games again on the computer, I keep getting a crash roughly after 10 to 15 minutes of playing. When it crashes, my pc screen turns off; saying it is no longer getting a video input, and there for will go in to sleep mode. Nothing that I try to get out of sleep mode again works and I have to shut down the pc to get it working again.

My specs are;
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Intel Core i5, processor 750
NVIDIA geForce GT220 1024mb
4gb DDR3

And my pc screen is a Philips LCD-monitor 220E, 1920 x 1080, Full HD

I have downloaded the latest drivers for both the monitor and the GFX card, still same issue as mentioned above.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

On your screen properties did you turn off the functions to turn your screen off and not to let your pc go to a sleep mode? Is this happening only in games?

Thanks for the replies! :)

I haven't turned off the option for screensaver or disable the sleep mode function.
I also haven't checked the tempatures during gaming, as I have no clue how to do so, haha. And yes it only happens during gaming. I can watch a full lenght dvd's on my computer with out having any issues.

I will try disabling all the powersaving, sleep mode and screensaver options and try again. I'll post a new reply once I tested it again if it worked or not.

Thanks!

Alright..

The disabling of pretty much everything related to power saving, screen saver etc. did not fix the problem. It still happened again after 15 or so minutes of playing a game.

The tempatures are as following;

Processor Intel Core i5 : Sensor DTS
Core 1 : 44 °C
Core 2 : 41 °C
Core 3 : 44 °C
Core 4 : 43 °C

NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 : nVidia Driver
GPU Temperatuur : 71 °C
GPU Temperatuur (GPU) : 71 °C
GPU Ventilator : 63%

The tempature is pretty much the same before i started the game. I checked for the temp. about 10 minutes in the game, so there really hasnt been a big change with that.

So I tested another monitor earlier, and turns out I don't get the issue with that..
I have contacted Philips and hopefully they'll know what it could be.

Thanks for all the help!
