PC and Xbox? But how???

Ok, small problem and i wonder if anyone knows what i can buy. I run my pc on a network in the house. the router is capable of connecting 4 computers. 4 computers are on the router. I want to connect my xbox to the internet for online gaming. problem is, i need something like a switch that i can plug both my comp and xbox into so that i can hit a switch and it will disconnect my comp from the internet and start running my xbox on the internet. anyone know what i can buy???
 
Get new hub

Why don't you buy another hub that way you won't have to deal with turning it off and on and stuff like that.
 
but how can i connect it to the network? the network runs on a cable internet connection. the cable goes into the modem.
 
a wired router would be fine. just plug the modem, computer and xbox into it. go on the xbox site to check for whihc ports to forward.
 
i believe u can just buy another router, and plug that router into the existing router, then you will have 3 more ports.
 
or just go for a simple network hub ;) thats already enoug.
(or you can buy a 100Mbit network card, and link your xbox to the pc using a crossover cable. that way, you could make use of the program xboxconnect :) )
