partition question

Ok, I don't know if this goes in OS or HDD, so I put it here.

I have 4 partitions currently, XP, CB, CB-swap, and DATA. They are all primary partitions apparently. I want to put Ubuntu on here also. Is there a way I can redo my Data partition to be logical without messing with the data on it? If not, that is fine, I only got 3GB of stuff on it right now, I can easily put it on my flash key and reformat it.

But this raises another question. If I make it Primary, will I be able to install Ubuntu, as it will create a swap, and I think /usr and such. Making at least 5 partitions.

Reformatting would be the better option. I ran into the same issue. I couldn't figure out a way around it without re-installing Mint.

Once/If you do that, then simply make an extended partition, and within it you can make as many logical as you want....I think. I have 2, for a total of 5 partitions.

When I say "I think", that just means I don't know how many logical partitions you could actually make.

I don't need to remove windows. It is not a windows question. The Data partition is what needed to be fixed. Though you say you know what your doing you will notice the question is answered, and I have fixed it. I do wish we could lock the thread when it is answered so this SPAM wouldn't happen.
