overheating in heat?

Hello
Perhaps like you guys, we have been having trememdous hot days. (37°C at the shade today, latitude 43) And my compute rhas been very hot, Usaly, when i do school, it is at 45°C (CPU fan set at 65%), but it got up to 55°C and higher, (CPU fan set aat 90-100%) So it has been very hot! So i decided to open up the PC, and put beside it a huge fan (household fans) it did help a bit. and i also clean the CPU, their was quie alot of dust (which reduced the temparature about 2-3°C)

so anyway, i was wondering, should i get a new fan? cause i dont want the PC to overheat, and fans are inexpensive. The PC has 4 fans so far, i out the power supply, one in the back, one on the CPU, and one on my FX 5500 videocard (those small one on them) So where should i put my fifth? I was thinking of making it to shoot on my modem and videocard in the same time, or perhaps somewhere else? Any suggestions?

Chris

Well, how hot does it get where you live? 45C isnt too bad, depending on what processor you have.

As for the fifth fan, i would get an exhuast fan for your video card/pci components. They are pretty cheap on newegg, and pretty effective.

well, for us 36°C is amazing hot, the max we could ever get is probably 40°C. But the thing is, does heat of the house affect the computer heat? if so, i got nothing to worry, but if not, then their is something going on, thats wrong....

Yes it does. A computer would cool much better in -30C room temp right? So it wouldnt cool all that well in 40C. So the hotter the room temp, the hotter the computer.
