opinion on speakers

The wattage is simply what the speakers supposively put out using their built in amp. The more usally(but not always) means better sound.

You have 10 drivers and a sub, so should sound pretty good, 70w is ample too!!! Hope u have a ncie sound card wired up to these hehe....

Those speakers are more than adequate for music and gaming, as for the power (which directly relates to maximum volume) 70 Watts peak will fill a room nicely, but may not travel through walls well, if you listen to them in a different room.

No those are actually 70wattsRMS/140Peak and for 1 small/medium room sound very very nice.
(I have a friend who owns these ;) )

Everything is predicated on your budget. i'm sure if your budget is around that price range, those speakers will suit your needs just fine. The wattage is a little low but for a small room should work just fine.

I have seen those Logitechs in action, and for the price they are definitely very good for the money, furthermore, they have great sound and power!

def. get the logitechs over that other brand.. despite the power difference the SQ will be much better.

if you ARE concerned about how loud they'll go, i can guarantee if you invest in the z-560's (an older model i've had for a year now) you'll get loud AND SQ.

If you mean X530 i agree unless your useing them for a home system.
These cost a bit more and start with Z.
But you do need a 5.1 sound card like Audigy2.Or their useless.
:)

Yeah, I wasn't very clear on that one, sorry :o ... I meant the X-530, and I definitely agree that you need at least a mid-range sound card ($70+) with 5.1 audio to make the investment in the speakers worth it...

You can probably get the Z640s for cheaper than the X530s and they're definitely worth considering :)
