One whacked out computer! Any help would be nice!
I am completely lost on this one. I have never had an operating system that would not install like this. There is usualy some kind of error, this just get to one point and stops dead. The mouse will move around, but nothing ever comes up. But if you hit eject on the DVD ROM before the disk is even out of the system, the launguage select box comes up. You put the disk back in and then you end up at a screen that says it can not find the drivers, would you like to browse or search. If you search, the thing just keeps going and going (45 minutes at last count), if you browse, everything you try finds nothing. Then you have the option of canceling the search, and which time you are given mutiple options. System restore, full system resrtore (which is supposed to back it all the way up), memory check, dos prompt, and restart. I have tried all of the options that it lists and none do anything. I have tried everything that I can think to do, but nothing. I do not want to have $800 to go down the hole on this.
