one speaker only works sometimes

hey all,
I have the speakers mentioned in my sig and just started but sometimes one speaker will not work so i'm only getting the sound out of one side (which is really annoying). Is there anyway to see why it is doing this? i can't imagine the speakers would have had it yet. Only about 1 year old. I didn't think they would go so easily just sitting around.

Bad connectionsto the sound card? Check that first. Then check connections to the sub (I'm assuming the satellites attach to the sub?).

Make sure you don't have sound justified to one side, in your Sound settings. That is an obvious mistake but, figured I would check. Check your connections from the sub as Styrak mentioned.
