hi guys, im currently playing around with a new build (well new to me) so that it runs top notch. it is as follows:

Brand: Mind Computer Products
Model: 6400i
Socket 775 CPU, 2.13 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo- 4 MB L2 cache
4GB of Ram
Chenbro PC611 tower case
Intel DQ965GF motherboard
1066 MHz front side BUS
Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit
LG DVD/CD burner
EVGA SuperClocked 512-P3-1242-RX GeForce GT 240 512MB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
Antec Neo Eco 450C Power Supply ATX 12V Active PFC 80PLUS 120MM Fan

should be better then my old p4 3.4ghz with ht, lol, anyhow,...

this pc will mostly be used as a media pc, but the odd time a speakers would be hooked up to the sound card.

my question is, i have a audigy 2zs card from my old p4, should i use that or onboard sound? the speakers il be using is either a $10 pair from wallmart or from time to time a logitec z2300 system i got.

and is the audigy card too old to support this newer pc?

whats your guy's opinions?

I do seem to recall some compatibility issues with the older audigy cards and Windows 7. I'd say try it. It's easy enough to remove it if you have problems. Plus it should be a fair bit better than the onboard. Though it might not make much difference if you're using cheap speakers :P
