Old lenses on DSLR *Chit Chat*

So... who here uses old lenses (film lenses) on their DSLRs?

I just recently ordered a Zuiko 50mm F1.8 and I'm waiting for it to come in, along with my Fotodiox adapter. I really wanted to get the 1.4 version but I can't justify paying that price for this particular lens.

Ya know, I've forgotten you can do that. I'm looking to expand my artistic ability, so I suppose I'll scout eBay for some lenses for my 50D.

I love shooting with older glass.
My main ones are:
- 55 1.8 SMC Takumar
- 135 3.5 SMC Takumar

Though I also have these:
- 55 2.0 Super Takumar
- 28 2.8 Vivitar
- 85-205 3.8 Vivitar

Plus a few more that I can't remember off hand and am to lazy to dig out.

thinking of getting an old macro lens. what's a good one and what adapters do you need for it to work on a Canon 60D?

Depends on the manufacturer, some are better at keeping compatibility with their older lens lineups then others.

its wierd I have a cupboard full of old FD lenses that i have never thought to buy adapters for... might give it a go soon, will let you know how it goes
