OCZ Rebate

OK I'm at the point of getting very irritated with OCZ and there rebate b.s. Here is the deal I buy both the OCZ 700 Fatality $25.00 rebate and the 6gb OCZ gold $30.00 rebate. I log into Newegg go to the rebate forms for OCZ, sends me to the OCZ rebate center I fill out all the info. and says I must provide a valid working email in order to finish. Well it is a valid working email that I've used for years, the only email I have. I call and there closed, I email them and there response says, "don't use firefox". OK I'm not, I try a few more times and always the same valid email b.s. again. I call today they're still open after being on hold it goes to voice mail???? This is crap, I'm ready to send my OCZ stuff back to newegg and write negative review on the newegg forum. This sux, I've heard lots of negative feedback on OCZ and their rebates, but until you go thru it URGH!!! :angry: I'll try one more time on Monday then I'm done. I even more pissed becasue I wanted to build my new comp. this weekend, now I'm not sure I want to open up the boxes and use their parts...
 
You could just fill out a written copy of the Rebate and send it to them. The only downside is that you have to wait like a full month before you get your money. i don't understand it but that's just the way that it works.
 
Yep I do it the way Midnight explained and have NEVER had a issue with rebates from anyone including OCZ.

That's the problem, you cannot due the written with OCZ. YOU MUST register with them first online. I've never had this issue, I just filled out a written rebate for CM. If you go to newegg and type in rebate forms, it takes you to their search, you click on ocz and you must register online with them and they send you the form...... THEY SUX!!!

That's true. Find any OCZ product with a Rebate .pdf and you'll see it's true.

That is lame dude. Sorry to hear you're having problems.

Maybe wait until after Christmas and try again like you said. Hopefully it goes better. :)

OK you'll laugh, I'm thinking there is a conspiracy, but it worked today. I've called 3 times finally got a hold of a live person today. I emailed them and tried there rebate forms and it wouldn't go thru. Today is the last day to send the rebate before they don't honor it. It WORKED??? WTH I think this is a scam in which people just give up, not me hehe. I got it printed and sent out on the last day..... I'll let you know what happens....
 
So I justed wanted to let everyone know that I rec. my rebate this month. Wow talk about taking there time hehe. We'll at least I got it. I'd rather buy without any rebate bs.:good:
 
Yeah, rebates are a scam IMO. The idea is to bank on people giving up on sending them in. I remember sending in a rebate for a refrigerator a couple years back and they didn't honor it because of some weird registration I didn't do online. After completing the online registration they still wouldn't honor the rebate because it was completed after I submitted the rebate via mail.
