Hi....Does anyone know why I am not able to see any other computers when I try to set up a mulit-player game like warcraft. I am able to see the other computers in Network places and I am able to connect to thier share folders but when I try to create a game thier computer doesnt show up.I tried everything but nothing seems to work.

Is there a way to connect like in counterstrike, By way of typing "connect xx.xxx.xxx.xx" What operating systems are you using windows xp? Do you have a personal firewall on any of the computers (not needed if your behind a router).

I'm using Windows XP Pro...I was able to play couple days ago with my firewall turned on. I then reset my router then thats when the problem started happening. I reconfigure the router but still no help.

Dont turn the router firewall off.... In each of the computers running winxp there might be the windows running a firewall aswell. Is it enabled or disabled?

To allow any game traffic like that through your router then you need to enable port forwarding on your router, read the game manual and have a browse around some help sites to find out what port you need to open.

Basically, other players will communicate with you via a specified port, your router is designed to block and reject data on ports that it doesnt know. When you forward a port, you tell the router to allow data in and you then tell it to forward the data to your computer, you will need an internal IP address to do this

Yeh, i heard of that before, its mainly on imported games that were originally designed in places like ASIA and the US.
