I just got a new rig and im trying to install my old ht omega claro sound card into it. In my last computer the right side panal came off and tne sound card installed intal a pci slot easy.

This new rig the left panal comes off so everything is mirrored. Will this sound card fit?? Im probably missing something simple, but can't figure it ut!
 
Dont really understand what you mean. You cant get to a PCI slot? It doesnt have a PCI slot? Plus have no idea what case and motherboard you have.
 
Yea, this Is hard to describe

My card used to go out the right side of the case, now with the other side of the new case opening it will go out the left, so I have to turn the card upside down...problem is my pci slot on mobo is like this ---- --------------------- when my card is now like this ----------------- -----

Does that make sense?
 
Not really. lol So your saying the case opening panel is on the otherside and the motherboard is flipped upside down. If so just turn the card around.

Exactly! That's what I have to do, turn the card upside down, bc pc is a mirror of yourset up where the cards come out the left side....however, wen I turn my card upside down, the pci male connector looks like this:

And the slot in my mobo is this:

So your saying the PCI slot is like the photo above. But the card has the notch on the front of the card, not the back.

A PCI card, has the slot in the back just like the photo, so it should work. Some PCI cards have a notch in the front and back. But both should work.

Sure your not looking at a PCIe slot? The top four are PCIe slots a X16 slot and three X1 slots. The bottom two are PCI slots.

Hmmm that might be the problem. The slot I have looks like the top one....so my sound card is useless?

I only have 2 open slots on my micro atx mobo and the look like the top 2 on yours
 
Dont think you have any PCI slots. Just has PCIe slots

No, it doest fit bc I have to turn the card around (upside down)

The card has the notch at the back, the slot has it In front
