I am new to this forum (Hello All!) and am looking to learn about computers. I used to teach basic electronics (Ohm's Law, Resistors, Conductors and Semi Conductors) so I am not totally in the dark. My goal is to obtain a working knowledge of PC's and their peripherals and how they interact with each other so that I can troubleshoot and maintain my computers. I am open to your suggestions regarding reading materials, web sites, flow charts and the like.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Welcome! Stick around the forum and you'll learn a lot... also, if you've got some spare cash, building a computer can be very educational... I learned a lot when I built mine. But just sticking around the forums is a very good way to learn... I've learned a lot from that.

Hi, welcome to the forum! I am not sure totally of what you know but this could be a good starting point: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_computer
It gives a breakdown of the individual parts and explains how they interact with each other. If you have any question about which hardware is best or anything else feel free to post and we will help you as best as we can.
