no sound

i have no sound on this E-Machines, it's on-board, i did everything 2 try 2 get it 2 work, try all 3 ports on the back of the pc, went 2 Multimedia 2 make sure onboard sound card was selected, sound still dont work? maybe the onboard sounds shot?

Have you looked at the Device Listings? Reinstall the drivers.....

nevermind, i dont have sound lol, but the cards being noticed? maybe i installed the wrong drivers?

JP, did you first check in the BIOS to turn the chip on? Then, what I had to do, was to go to Device Manager, and uninstall the sound drivers. When rebooting, the drivers either get reinstalled automatically, or you'll be asked to provide them. Do you HAVE the right drivers, btw?

Like wot 'ovenmaster' said, uninstall the drivers the reboot, the computer will then recognise it but if not try using your disk which you shoiuld of got with the board, if that dosnt work then just go into device manager and instal the drivers off the internet.But if it cant find the drivers, search over then net for it and that should work.

i dont know, i installed drivers, didnt know if they were the right 1's, but it was being reconized...

You have your speakers plugged into the green socket right?

i dont even think my sound card is in my BIOS.... it is a card, not onboard.

im gonna try 2 uninstall the drivers, then reinstall em.
