No sound, very random!

Hey all,

Earlier today I was listening to some music, then I turned off my speakers and when I came back to my computer there was no sound anymore, I tried youtube, iTunes, GOM Player and some music sites none of them work, I have checked my master sound and it is at the highest it can go, my speakers are plugged in properly and the light is indicating that it is on. I am running Windows Vista 32-Bit Ultimate if that helps

If your speaker simply didn't let go when switching off and then back on the player you were using most likely knocked out the sound drivers. First take a look in the device manager under "sound, video, and game controllers" to see if anything there has a yellow mark. Are you using onboard or an installed card for sound?
