No Sound! PLZ HELP!

Hello,
I have just formated my desktop and now I have no sound! I put a new version of Windows XP Pro onto it it, its a tower that has been built from scratch but i can find out some brands of things like the motherboard or sound card/video card, memory, CPU ect.

How do i find this out?

Download cpuz and then click on the mainboard tab and give us the model number.

Let me know if that don't work. Are there any more drivers that need to be installed? Look in device manager for any yellow question mark next to devices.
