no sound from speakers

my speakers are logitech z-340 i think. They are a couple years old. The problem is that no sound comes from the speakers. if i plug my headphones into the jack on the satilite speaker i get sound to the headphones. So if anybody has any info on why there is no sound coming out of the speakers but i can plug in a headset to the speakers and can get sound to the headset that would be great.

I think your speakers are dying. Actually you can hear the sound when using your headphones because you are bypassing the built in speakers.

Try replacing your speakers, cause I don't think they will be fixed.

I agree the sound is being bypassed. The headphones are actually being plugged into your line out socket. Replace your speakers or use headphones
