No sound coming from speakers !

Hello recently sent my pc in to get fixed, got a new Hard drive installed .But for some reason the pc is now unabile to play any sounds .There is no sound coming from my speakers exept a buzzing sound . i have checked i am using an up to date driver. the mute button is not on. Any ideas ? coincidentally i also cannot download windows media player . Could this be connected . Thanks for any help !

You have not stated your (detailed) computer specifications so we wouldn't know where to start, nor what type of connection your speakers have.

Also, you should be talking to the people that worked on your computer because it sounds like they did something that caused the no sound.

If your speakers use an audio cable for sound, make sure you have put it in the computer's audio jack.
