no sound and i can't use my microphone any more

well yesterday i was clearing out things of my computer and it looks like i delete my sound driver or some thing. Cause it asked me to restart the computer to remove this program so i did . Than when i got back on no video had sound . And i removed sound max than i re downloaded it . But to finish the setup it need a sound driver . So is there any way to download a sound driver or install it ect so i can listen to things again ?
 
i have no idea how to find that out :( an i am compelety new with computers and i know next to shit about them
 
oh yeah i found that though i don't think it is what your looking for but

Hey I was having a similar problem with compaq presario sr1800nx.
I googled "download audio driver for compaq presario sr1800nx" then on HP's website i found the driver. Before i was also just getting the driver detecting softwares. "http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19" try using the link, it might help. I THINK usually the mother board sound drivers are Realtek ALC97(on older ones) or Realtek HD(on newer ones). try googling them and i also needed to download "microsoft UAA HD" from
"drivers.softpedia.com/.../OTHER-SOUNDCARDS/Microsoft-UAA-Bus-Driver-for-High-Definition-Audio.shtml - 60k " link and reinstall the driver again.......might work for you hopefully...good luck

Observation for the future; if u don't know what it is don't delete it until u find out, not trying to be smart but helpful, I've done the same in the past. Any really still don't know crap even with my AS in computers compared to most of the gurus here.
