No internet access through Router

hi, my Linksys (model wrt54gs2 v1) router stopped recieving internet, this occured after I changed my modem, just the model though. Whenever I connect my laptop via WiFi, it simply informs that there is no internet access, but whenever I connect direcly throught the internet cable, there is access. This is all I know so far, thanks... If anybody could help me, I would be grateful.

So you can get internet by hooking up a cable directly to router but you can't get internet if using wireless? If thats the case then try unplugging the power from the router for a minute and then plug it back in. When changing modems, you will get a different IP address and the router should be reset.

There's my problem, I already turned my router (and modem) off and back on; Restored to factory defaults, configured it back through DHCP and PPPOE... I'm pretty lost

Then the only thing left would be that the wireless in your router is just dead. You might want to see if there is a firmware update for it. You do have an older router I believe.

How do I see if there is a Firmware update?
If this doesn't work, can a specialized person TRY to fix this?

I just checked, there is no firmware update available for that model. Can you tell if the network name is even being broadcasted? Is it available and you just can't connect to it?

It is available and all, but when I connect to the wireless network, it's written: No Internet acces. The internet connection is strong and all, but there is a yellow symbol in front of the signal strength

If vista or windows 7 then you can do this in network and sharing center. Click on manage wireless connections on left and then delete the con ection for your wireless network and set it back up again. I can't remember how to do it for XP, been a while.
