I just bought an inspiron 6000 series from dell, i love the computer, i downloaded omega drivers for my x300 card because i heard they're better drivers as well as some other miscallaneous stuff, (winamp, firefox, limewire). I don't know what exactly caused the problem but now there's no sound on my dvds. In fact there was no video either because my mpeg decoder didn't exist but i managed to download one online and now the video works. All other sound and video seems to play properly, so there's nothing wrong with the drive I managed to call dell and get CDs for a clean wipe, but i guess my question is; how would i go about restoring the dvd audio without restoring my computer?
