i have had to format and reinstall my computer with xp pro i seem to have lost my motherboard drivers disk for my foxconn board so went to foxconn site and downloaded audio drivers but when i went to install it came back with driver not found please reinstall to fix the problem i have tried reinstalling but same old same over and over any ideas

You sure it's the correct driver? Did you search for the correct model mobo?

Some time it will show install but there is chances of not installing properly. I would suggest you to try to reinstall it. :P

no sound

my motherboard is a winfast 760GXK8MC which is a foxconn board i downloaded the onboard audio driver for that board from foxconn.com so i cant see how it could be wrong

Are you using Windows XP? On numerous occasions I have found that certain audio drivers won't install unless Windows has installed certain updates.

have tried both versions on 5280 it told me that my hardware didnt support it

im getting to the point of thinking this motherboard just isnt worth the trouble maybe i should have invested in a better brand
ok as a last resort i reported the problem to foxconn support and they very kindly sent me the exact audio driver for my board but still getting the same message so i guess the problem is elsewhere any ideas please?

In that cases I'm looking for vendor number in driver ID tab and search it on devid.info - helped number of times.
