No connection

Hi. I am unable to connect to the internet using one of the computers on my network. I can ping the router, but cannot use it to access the internet. I tried connecting to it using a wireless adapter AND a powerline adapter (devolo), but still can't manage.

When I just give the faulty computer an automatic IP setting, I get a "limited or no connectivity" error, even though DHCP is activated fine.

have you set your computer to automaticaly get network settings (DHCP) if so is your DHCP server working (this is quite often on your router)

Have you manualy selected your computers IP address and details? if so, have you put your router IP as the default gateway?

Try resetting the CMOS first and see what happens. This seems to solve alot of problems and solved something similar for me.

If not check to see if the NIC is working. Although you can ping the router, what are the results of the ping? How many packets sent and recieved? Have you updated the NIC at all?

Once you've reset the CMOS and checked that the NIC is ok, try assigning IP addresses and DNS manually to a few computers and see if that works.
