hi guys i would just like to know if it would be worth getting a nic card would it improve my internet in anyway?

wouldnt think soo, onboard ethernet runs at like 10/100mbps, depends on what type of card, B, G, etc.

I have had no problems with my onboard NIC, so I agree. Stick with your onboard. The only reason you may wish to upgrade is if you plan to run some server like app that requires dual nics, or you need a faster one(say you're using gigabit) Though, most computers support that now, too

if you have onboard, it's idiotic 2 have a card 4 something you have onboard lol. not saying your stupid or anything...

The ONLY reason you should get a card would be if you wanted wireless. If staying wired, onboard is great.

Depending on how new the mobo is, it might have a Gigabit LAN on it. Great for expansion possibilities later if you plan on networking a bunch of computers together.

you will not see much in the way of speed (unless you are upgrading to a 1gb or 10gb NIC and have a switch that can handle it.

I have a PCI 1gb nic card in my desktop, because my onboard is only 10/100mb

but at 3k per 10GB nic i dont think its a good upgrade for you :P
