Hi,

I would like to set up a wireless network at home so I can connect two laptops and a printer together and connect thru a broadband modem to the internet.

Both laptops have a wireless card built in to them.

Can you recommend the equipment I would require please - is there a one box bit of kit that will allow mw to connect the broadband modem and printer into it and allow the latops to acces it?

Thanks in advance

An 802.11g wireless router will do the trick. example: Router Connect your modem to the WAN connection on the router and after a little configuration you will be good to go. The printer is another story though. If it is not a network printer (meaning it has an RJ-45 port or wireless card) then it will need to be attached to a computer and then shared.

Or you could attach it to the router if you buy one with print share, if your running XP then you should be cool also for setup, make sure your wireless properites are in line with what you want to heppen i.e. if you wnat to connect to the internet and connect to a non prefered network etc, its pretty easy, just buy a router that supports your current input connection, so if you have a usb modem then make sure your new router supports this, you have to be sure that you router can connect the same way your current modem outputs, you can also buy a modem/router and ditch the modem you currently use, port back for more info

say again?

I have a basic printer. It is an inkjet printer and it is basically a cheap, run of the mill printer. I have a desktop which is plugged into a DSL modem, and I have a wireless router running off of the DSL modem. I have a laptop set up for wireless connection.

I want to get my printer to where it is connected wireless so that I may print things from my laptop. Suggestions?
