New Sound Card Advice

Recently purchased AKG Q701 headphones and although they feel a little flimsy for their price tag they do sound great. I'm still debating what to power them with as my Xonar DG is rather noisy and weak. I've been looking at various dac & amp combos but for 200$, a solid soundcard like this doesn't seem like a bad idea. What do you guys think?

HT | OMEGA Claro Halo 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card w/ a built-in HI-FI Headphone Amplifier

ASUS Xonar Essence STX Virtual 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Express x1 Interface 124 dB SNR / Headphone AMP Card

Budget is ~ 200$

If you go with the HT Omega, please post a review. I was thinking about getting the HT omega Claro halo XT (long name T_T).

(Sorry for off topic.) Neva and linkin, have you tried to compare sound quality from your dedicated sound cards vs the hdmi output on your graphics card? I've always wondered if it was worth getting a dedicated sound card.

I've never actually tried running audio over HDMI from the graphics card, but I think it'd still be dependant on your sound card, because outputting sound through HDMI to your monitor, one would assume it has speakers connected to it.

Sound through HDMI is digital, so it doesn't really depend on your sound card, rather your receiver on the other end of the HDMI cable.
