hello, i just set up a home network, but now i'm having some trouble accessing the other computers, OK, i have 2 computers, Computer A has windows XP home edition, and Computer B has Windows XP PRO. they are both connected Via the SAME router, (WIRED), when i get on Computer B, i can see computer A and access the shared folder. However; when i go to Coputer A i CAN see computer B, but when i click on it, it gives me an error message which says: "you might not have permission to access this network" something like that, i am really getting frustrated i don't know what to, PLZ somebody help. Thanks.

you have to have each others logon account on both PCs and because of one being home, make sure that one has aguest account amd both user IDs have passwords.
alsomake sure that windows firewall is off, can they both hit the net ?

If i read that right, you are having problems accessing the files stored on your xp pro machine from the xp home machine. In that case, it is most likely a permissions problem. I think you should turn OFF simple file sharing. To do so, go to any folder on your pc...go to Tools --> folder options, and click on the view tab...scroll to the bottom and uncheck "use simple file ahring"...NOW, go to the ffile/folder you are sharing and right click on it. Go to properties and click on the security tab. Then, click ADD to add a group to the permissions list. Type "Everyone" and press ok. Then, Click the top checkbox under ALLOW to give EVERYONE full access..Press ok and you should have no problem accessing your shares.

yes both of them can access the internet simultaniously, i have yet to try David's method but will do so shortly thanks for the help so far.
