New Mouse

So I've been using my Logitech MX1000 for about 5 years now and the battery/charger is dying. I'm on the look for a new wired mouse. Can anyone recommend one in the ~$50 budget range? The only two criteria is that it must be wired and cannot have random lights on them.

Currently I'm looking at the Logitech G5, does anyone have this mouse?
 
I have the MX518, I've had it for a few years, it's the only mouse I use really, besides my G9, but that's my laptop mouse.
 
i just got the G5 not too long ago. it's very nice, has a smooth material that absorbs sweat, with a long cable too. but its got those lights with the running man; you might not see it under your hand, but it's there. it's a bit larger than most logitech mice (i had Lx3).

I know it has the LED's that indicate it's DPI setting, that's fine. What I meant by lights are those on the Razor gaming mouses.
 
If you're willing to wait, and can spend around 70$ the g500 is coming out.

If not, I have the g7, older wireless brother of the g5 and love it. Was thinking of getting a g5 for some lan events, but then learned the g500 is coming - so Im getting that instead!

Have you looked at any of Razer's products? I have been using them for 5 years now and have loved my mice.
