I bought a new wide screen monitor and I don't know how to reset explorer wide. It is set to 100% but still not filling the screen wide ways. I am using win 7 and explorer 11 if that matters.

You can either click the middle icon up top right to maximize the window or you can click and drag the corners to expand it. Once you have it set where you like it, close it and reopen it and it should remember where it was.

When john says close, he means exit. The close button (red x) and the exit function are different. You need to go to File, Exit for it to remember.

Also ensure that the graphics are displaying the correct native resolution by right clicking on the desktop and selecting the appropriate option (e.g. either screen resolution, or the graphics adaptor properites selection).

I am using yahoo home page and it is opening like it is made for a regular old square monitor instead of the new style wide flat screen monitors of today. I can't drag the corners like stated here. It is already open but showing up just white for about 2 inch's on both sides of the screen.

Are you talking about the white space that is in the screenshot below?

If so, that's just because the webpage isn't adaptive so doesn't adjust based on the frame width. Try going to www.apple.com and see if the white space is there.
