I'm looking into buying a new 5.1 surround sound system but I'm not sure what to buy or where to buy from. My budget is around £200 give or take £100. It will be used for my Xbox 360, TV and PC maybe using the optical port on the component lead they supplied with Xbox or maybe it should be used from my Samsung LE32A436T TV which the Xbox 360 is connected to using Component. Also I sometimes have my PC connected to my TV via a 5 meter HDMI cable. I'm hoping the sound quality of the new system will be very noticeable from the one I currently use which is:

This sound system has been superb, underrated and I believe it outperforms many of my friends 5.1 systems. Also it is very loud and I rarely have the volume over halfway. Can you recommend me a new system for my budget? and what would be the best setup to have sound from Xbox, PC and TV to use? Thank you for your time I look forward to your replies.

I would suggest going to your favorite computer store, and asking the sales clerk, OR, just look up a bunch online and see what you like the most. I'm in Canada so I have no idea what to suggest to you, unfortunately.

Go to an audio store (not Bose), NOT a general electronics store or computers store. Chances are you haven't heard of most quality audio equipment manufacturers. Have the their help you pick out a new sound system. Avoid all major generic electronic manufacturers such as Sony, Bose etc.
