Networking problems/q's

On my dad's comp, he has wirefull router connected to a modem, and a wireless rouoter connected to the wirefull router. I am connected to the wireless router, and I get internet connection, but I have yet to figure out how to share files. How can I set this up?
 
find the directory you want to share then properties->sharing tab, and read whats there. then the folders should be viewable in network neighbourhood
 
Wow, I didn't know it was that easy. currently I have a cat5e cable, and a direct printer. If I move my comp upstairs, and switch to wireless, will I be able to use the printer if it is not connected to the network, just to the other computer? Or is there a port to connect the printer to a router?
 
as long as the printer is shared and you add it as the printer for the other computers you can print to it from any computer on the network.
 
Is there any way I can connect it directly to the router? Or is it not capable of that? It is a HP Laserjet 5000
 
As long as it is not a 5000LE, you have the Ethernet card for it then it should be possible, I think it should come with it's own print server so you don't need it on the router

No, I don't have an Ethernet card for it. I do have an extra desktop Ethernet card, though. I'm guessing that it takes a special type?
 
right, it has some kind of special port for the ethernet card assemby to go in. you might be able to find one on ebay or something like that

I'm not going to bother getting one just for that, unless my dad buys it. Oh well....

BTW, where is that port? I can't find any such thing

ouch, expensive. I can't find a good picture of it but there should be a covered slot for card to slide into on the back near the bottom somewhere

maybe not.....unless my dad can make it a business expense.....

How come the wireful is more expensive than the wireless?
