Hi,
i'm kinda new to the forum !

i have two problems
1- two pc's laptop running xp home and desktop running xp pro. i am connecting it via usb lancards(usb2usb) from genelink. laptop has another lancard.
my problem is when i connect the 2 pc's i can access xp on laptop but when i try to access desktop via laptop i get an error message saying that you do not have permission to access the resouses on this pc.

2. there are 2 pc's running 98se with 1 lancard each. i want the settings (subnet masks/ip's etc.) to share each other's files without routers/hubs and stuff like that
a flat wire 2 wire connection like peer to peer.
:( anyone ready to help :(

Problem 1 - Think this is due to administraton rights. Make sure all computers are set to all have administration rights.

Problem 2: if your not connected to the internet you could use anysettings you want.

try 111.111.111 :IP 255.255.255.0 :subid
111.111.112 :IP 255.255.255.0 :subid

also you need a Crossover Cable. not just a straight cable.
