networking problem

hello i am writing for the first time
i an running a LAN of 16 computers one of them is not recognized
on the LAN i have checked networking switch , cat5 cable, ports
every thing NIC'S status is working properly but there is always a cross
on the computer icon on task bar showing the network connection

plz help me

Check the drivers of the ethernet card. Also make sure the cable is good. (plug into another pc).

If that dont work, make sure there ar eno ip's specifically listed.

Definatly make sure your NIC is working, thats what it usually is when I have a problem like yours.
