Networking my home desktops and laptop

Hi Y'all, first-timer here. Hope someone can help.
After going thru the setup procedure ie.control panel>network connections>setup home or small office network>to the setup wizard, I selected the 'this computer connects directly to the Internet. The other computers on my network connect to the Internet through this computer.'
I continue thru the steps to name my computer, workgroup etc....when it starts searching it gives me the following error message: 'An error occurred during the configuration of the network on this computer'. Click on 'finish' to complete the Wizard.

I've set this up before, however, this is a new computer and everything has to be setup over again.
I have a Linksys Wireless Router WRT554G (my computer is connected to this).
I've got a wireless card in another desktop, and wireless built-in to a laptop. Currently everyone has access to the Internet thru the router. I would like to set up filesharing as well as access to the printer my computer is attached to.
Any ideas.
 
Try this program called easylink connect. Click on it at the top of the list to download. Put it on the computer with the wireless card and install it. Should fix your problem.

just curious why are you internet connection sharing when you have a router? what exactly are you trying to accomplish here? Just simple file sharing?
