networking issues

well i got another computer and i decided to network both computers. the one ive been having can do everything except use MSN messenger, and the one i got can't connect to MSN messenger or AIM. this never happened when my computer wasn't networked. and the other computer that i got is able to connect to those things too before i networked. can anybody help me??
 
If you made them networked, what did you do? When they are connected to a router it is networked already...
